Architectural hardware

Architectural hardware started in the workshops of blacksmiths, coppersmiths and tinsmiths. China had nail-making workshops in the Tang Dynasty, making nails, latches, locks, door knockers, etc. by hand. However, due to the use of wooden and stone structures in ancient buildings, architectural hardware has developed very slowly in the past few thousand years. After the 19th century, with the widespread use of metal materials and the needs of social life, building hardware has developed rapidly, and many small products such as steel nails, hinges, latches, window hooks, faucet valves, wire woven window screens, etc. have appeared. factory or workshop. Later, mechanical processing equipment was gradually used instead of hand-made, and many specialized enterprises were formed. With the continuous improvement of various building facilities standards, modern building hardware products have developed from a single variety to a series, and the requirements for their aesthetics and decorative effects are getting higher and higher. The production process of architectural hardware products has also made great progress. Most products have been developed from the original semi-manual and semi-mechanical operations to semi-automatic or fully automatic mechanical assembly line production. Architectural hardware has expanded from traditional copper alloy, low carbon steel, etc. to zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastic and various composite materials.
